Taipei 101
Taipei 101 is an iconic part of the city’s skyline. Measuring at around 509m, this skyscraper in Xinyi district used to hold the title as the tallest building from 2004 to 2010. Its elevators are also some of the worlds’ fastest. It can get passengers from the 5th floor to the 89th floor in less than 40 seconds. You’ll typically see this architectural wonder featured on TV, magazines and promotional materials about Taiwan. It combines Asian aesthetics with modern design. Nationaal Paleis Museum
The national palace museum is home to hundreds of thousands (roughly 700,000) of artifacts that date back centuries. The sprawling complex has different exhibits and displays that showcase Chinese culture and history. Chiang Kai Shek Memorial Hall – this attraction is one of the most popular in Taipei. It was built to commemorate Generalissimo Chiang Kai-shek. You can find the memorial hall in Zhongzheng District. The liberty Square, national concert Hall and the national theater are the notable attractions within the complex.
Martyrs’ Shrine – this attraction was constructed to honor the sacrifice and heroism of Kuomintang soldiers that fought in the Chinese Civil War. As you explore you will see thousands of spirit tablets. You can also watch the changing of the guard during your visit.

Jiufen, Shifen and Yehliu Geopark Tour

Jiufen dorp en noordoostkust

Wulai Atayal Aboriginal Village en Hot Springs
Dit Aboriginal dorp ligt dicht bij Taipei en is een populaire bestemming voor dagtochten voor degenen die de stad willen verlaten. Hier vindt u Hot Springs en de inheemse Atayal -stam. Han Chinees is de dominante groep in Taiwan, maar de oorspronkelijke inwoners zijn de Aboriginals of ook bekend als Yuanzhumin. Ze hebben hun eigen taal, cultuur en geschiedenis. Beitou Hot Springs (XINBEITOU)

Je vindt dit prachtige strand in de buurt van Fulong -dorp in het district Gongliao. Deze attractie is een populaire plek voor de lokale bevolking die tijdens de zomermaanden hun dosis vitamine -zee willen krijgen. De prachtige gouden zand en verse zeebries zijn een perfecte combinatie voor een ontspannen dagje uit. Er zijn ook zandsculptuurfestivals tijdens het begin van de zomer.
Hoe kom je daar: ga naar het hoofdstation van Taipei, het station Nangang (MRT Blue Line 5) of Songshan Station (MRT Green Line 3). Boordder vervolgens een trein naar Fulong -station.

Dit heiligdom herdenkt gevallen soldaten tijdens de Chinese burgeroorlog. U zult spiritafels en tentoonstellingen zien die terwijl informatie verstrektje verkent.
